February 15, 2016 ~ Week 85

I’m over in this internet cafe and I’m sweating, that’s how hot it is over here...

My companion is Elder Bajaña from Ecuador, he has 6 months in the mission and he is like a shorter and funnier version of the inspector gadget, the movie version...

This week went by slow because we are opening an area.  I have been living out of my suitcase this whole week because there is nowhere to put my things.  President closed an area down about an hour away from here so we have been talking to the missionaries over there too see if
we can pick up their stuff and bring it back to Pedregal, we will see how that goes.

We share the branch with 4 other missionaries, the mission
president has been talking to me and apparently the branch has
been asking for another companionship because it wants to become its own district.

Right now we are a part of the district in Camana (my first area).  So my companion and I are the fulfillment of the people’s prayer.  We will see how well we work.
Pray that we will find people to teach.
This week was full of visiting members and contacting.

Say hello to teh1hands newest fan, Elder Larsen.

He is an awesome Elder.

Alejandro got baptized this past week!  He is Alessandro's

younger
brother who was also baptized my Oliver!!

My Pentionista had a farewell party for me,

her family is the best!!

Here it is con Elder Randall

"Macookquita" la gata!!
This is the cat that my pentionista named after me

Every month we as missionaries have to fill out information

about the
ward and our goals of people to baptize

and rescue, but we put a
little box where you can draw

something, to make it more fun, and an

Elder drew me for his favorite superhero haha..

February 8, 2016 ~ Week 84

We had a baptism this past week, his name is Alejandro Rodriguez.  He is Alessandro’s younger brother, (Alessandro got baptized this past October) and now his brother decided to be baptized as Jesus was.

I got my Cambio (change), I’m headed over to Pedregal!!  I know nothing about the area, but the members say that it is called Pedregal because of all the rocks and rice fields... my companion is going to be Elder Bajaña from Ecuador he has been in the mission for 6 months and we are going to go and open this area up.  I have no idea what’s going on but once I know I’ll let you know...

Enjoy all the photos I sent.  We had a small going away party at my Pention’s house, her family is the best!!

Oh yeah I’m going as senior companion which will be nice, I’ve lost
too much hair from stressing out as a Zone Leader!

February 1, 2016 ~ Week 83

Huntendo finished January up with 6 confirmations and 19 rescues!

Changes are this Saturday so stay tuned for what happens next
Monday.  Where will my next and last area be?¿?¿?
As far as this last week we went to the hospital a few times for Elder Randall’s toe, he hurt it back at the MTC but 17 months later is only

Getting 3 days of rehab when he actually needs 15.  While we were there for 2 hours, the first day I just sat outside.  The next 2 days I went inside and all the patients fell in love with me, perhaps it appeared that I needed the rehab for my left arm but I was just having fun playing catch with an exercise ball and having fun with Elder Randall.  We had a family home evening and before the lesson started the 2-year-old decided to jump head first on the tile floor from the couch. It was a pretty awkward start...

This past week we changed Pentionista’s.  We were very
nervous to do it because sometimes they leave the church
because the Elders don’t want a pentionista anymore, but she took it pretty well.

Now we are with another sister who is the stake relief society president and she is awesome, I’ve sent pictures in the past, her name is Katy Navarro.

Bye bye

January 25, 2016 ~ Week 82

This past week Elder Randall and I had a rescue, her name is Mariela, she is 19 years old and she is intelligent when it comes to doctrinal things, so talking with her about the gospel just clicked.
Also this past week we went with the sister leaders to Mollendo to do divisions in trios with the missionaries, I went to Matarani, my old area.  It was great to see some old faces, and some new ones, the Elders are having a lot of success over there.  We had a lot of investigators at church this past week, but the church was empty, I don’t know where all the members went.  We had a worldwide training from the missionary department, at church in Arequipa.

The theme was teaching repentance and baptizing converts.  La Zone Huntendo is doing so amazing with completing their key indicators.
